The evolution of individual transwomen and transmen.

This is a journey, one of which is different for each person. Its nice to look back and see how far we have come, or see what we have to look forward to with the progress of our trans brothers and sisters. Everyone is making their own path. There is a point through out a transition when the mind is finally at peace with the body.

This is a place for the before, after, and through out. Feel free to post pics, ask questions, or introduce yourself!

Anonymous asked: hello! i'm currently setting up an online shop to help save up for my own transition, and also help others with theirs. i was wondering if you could recommend charities, or anything similar, aimed at helping trans* youth?? thanks in advance (:

I personally do not know of any however some of these lovely followers might.
If anyone has any recommendations please send them it :D

Quote of the Day: “I’m not transgender. I. Am. A. Boy,” says 5-year-old Tyler, who born a girl. He first insisted he was a boy at the age of 2, and eventually was diagnosed with gender identity disorder.
Now, his parents allow him to present himself as a boy, and Tyler’s mom doesn’t think he’s going through a phase (though doctors say many children with gender identity disorder eventually switch back to their biological gender). “I just want my child to be happy,” she says.
Don’t miss the video and pic gallery that help tell Tyler’s story.

Super interesting article - and some fairly on the ball parents.

Survey related to Sex/Health

Please fill out this short survey about sex/health relating to trans*people. This information is to help us write literature for trans* people (specifically youth)

Perspective of trans*woman needed

Tran*teens has been working on creating literature and information on a variety of issues for trans* teenagers (and family, friends, partners, ect) The first of this literature was the Coming Out Tips post (which will hopefully be made into a booklet and PDF soon)

We want to create one about the medical process however we need someone educated on the medical procedures that are available for trans* women to help out. If you are interested please send an ask and we will contact you.

The Scoop

Wild Seed Wellness (WSW) offers affordable massage therapy for queer and trans people of color in Oakland. Massage therapy services at Wild Seed Wellness are sliding scale so that clients are able to afford to make healing a priority and a routine. The 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month are donation based days. In order to expand and offer more appointments, WSW is moving to the Living Room Project, an accessible healing justice practice/community space for queer and trans people of color, in West Oakland. Yay! Right now, it’s necessary for WSW to raise $3500 dollars by June 2 to pay for 6 months rent.

SERVICES

Massage therapy services at Wild Seed Wellness are sliding scale. WSW wants people to be able to make bodywork a regular part of their wellness routine. Every 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of the month, WSW provides donation-based massage.
